I mean With a name like Bad-Boon you're pretty much asking to be ostracized. The basic game is similar to the prequel: You roll one of the monkeys through a collection of narrow, twisting courses trying to reach the goal as fast as possible without falling off.
The challenge, however, has increased tenfold. Even EGM's best monkey bailers gross! The game now features a lot more moving parts and pitfalls compared to the original, along with jumps, conveyor belts and nasty twists and turns. But the real fun in the last outing was the collection of minigames. The story is told with these fun comic book style scenes and it has a whole lot of charm.
I have always loved the whole style of this series and Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is kind of like a greatest hits of the series.
It has that bright and colorful look that the series is known for. I have always felt that the Monkey Ball series is a prime example of the way Sega games looked during the Dreamcast era. What got people excited about this game was the guest characters.
Sonic the Hedgehog is here as is Kiryu from Yakuza which is hilarious. Well, this game features over stages that are taken from the original two games that were released for the Nintendo Game Cube and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe which was released for the PS2, and Xbox which itself was a compilation of the first two games.
There are certainly a ton of stages here. I quit the game and tried again and still no go. I tried to play the game i get adds. Tilt sensitivity needs to be adjustable in settings.
I want to be able to play lying down which is impossible with the tilt mechanic. Crazy amount of ads. Huge turnoff. Have to restart the app. Pretty early in the game to be experiencing a bug. Tried to play the bowling mini game. The ball curves left every time no matter what.
