Customer Reviews. Inspector Magnusson: Murder on the Titanic is rated 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SummerSkyeSloane from Good plot and surprising twist of the legend! I am disappointed by some reviews for this game as I thoroughly enjoyed it. The mystery plot is loosely based on some facts of White Star Line at the time and its revelation here is audacious and a bit shocking.

You are included in this tale and after the ship strikes its iceberg, the alarm keeps sounding as the need to get yourself into a lifeboat increases. I hope I have not revealed too much but I suspect anyone reading this knows about that iceberg, no?

Anyway, the artwork is excellent, the Palm Court restaurant and many other venues give you an idea of how lovely the decor must have been. Sound effects and music are fine; the puzzles are good and many can be skipped. It's not a complex game and you're always shown which part of the ship to progress to nextso that you don't wander about aimlessly. I was so grateful to be able to continue and everything else in the game worked well for me. Note: Although this is possibly a 4-star game, I'm giving it five just to raise the overall ratings which I think is "fairer" for it.

As a bonus, all settings can be downloaded for wallpaper. There are lots and lots of HO scenes, some containing quaint, old-fashioned items. This is a very enjoyable, long-lasting game — worth buying. The game is very light adventure with quite a lot of hidden object play, framed around the investigation of a murder on the Titanic.

The art is very high quality, and fit the opulence of the ship perfectly. While there is a fair amount to do around the hidden object scenes, they are the real focus of the game. The scenes and objects are very well done, and even the occasional small object was clear enough for me to identify it. The hint allows you to select the object you want pointed out, which I greatly prefer to a random choice. There is no timer or click penalty, so I just relaxed and enjoyed exploring each scene.

I particularly liked the fact that the objects mostly fit the scene and theme of a location, so it isn't just a jumble of random objects. I haven't repeated any scenes yet, and There have been some interesting twists on the standard list I liked having to organize the tools I may be a bit OCD There is a lot of dialogue in the game, as the mystery unfolds.

I enjoyed reading through it, but it can be clicked through if you just want to get back into the action. The journal stores critical details on the story, so you won't end up lost. The puzzles were pretty straightforward, and most were at least familiar. I didn't encounter any I needed to skip, and all of them were worked into the story so they didn't seem random or arbitrary. I also quite liked the music Rated 5 out of 5 by GamerBridget from Enjoyable and an interesting take on the Titanic tragedy This game was a lot of fun.

I enjoy a story along with my gameplay, one that's not contrived or convuluted as some have been lately. This story held my interest a lot and the hidden object scenes and puzzles were nicely done. There was an interesting mix of historical and fictional characters and when the final conspiracy was revealed, I was quite surprised! There was no pressure. I played untimed. I liked the way you found 10 items, then played HOP, then found another item to use in the scene.

Best of all was hopping back and forth into different parts of ship. Probably boring to action fans; but, for a change of pace, I loved it! The music was haunting but not overwhelming. The diary that progressed through the story kept my interest, and the ending was what I expected and knew, but it was no less a great story. The hidden objects are okay, but it's the rarely known facts about the Titanic that drives the story. Rated 5 out of 5 by verimeri from great game truly fun- nice mini games- no confusing pathways and people just nice old-fashioned hidden object Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by mentalas from titanic mystery great game couldnt stop playing Date published: I enjoyed playing from beginning to end.

I really enjoyed the story line and the scenes were cool too. Although I would have liked a little bit more of a challenge I would still recommend this game to anyone who loves HOG'S. I am on my second time playing it. They are scenes like the wire room and the staterooms among several others. Lots of fun hidden objects too. Rated 5 out of 5 by Franklikesthis from Fun, good balance between hard to find and "impossible" to find!

Also, this game is not pushing the "drama" to the exttent of becoming ridiculous! Nice game, not always the same old inventories that make you go ballistic, good screen definition you can find all objects, given some experience , not extremely hard, which makes it good clean fun! Rated 5 out of 5 by kristenmary03 from titianic mystery I like this game very much I like to play for a long time Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by cicina54 from Titanic Mystery I am a big fan of anything Titanic!

But I also enjoy a good hidden object game with good sound effects. I like the detective that goes through the different stages of discovery. The vintage scenes were great! Really enjoyed it! Attention to detail is a must! It has a bit of brain teasing as well. Nice change as I don't like anything too racey! Not a fan of violent,or ghost stories either. But I enjoyed this one!
